Warranty Policy

At JDM Elite Motors, we provide a limited warranty on eligible engines and transmissions to ensure customer confidence and transparency.


1. Warranty Coverage Period

  • Non-performance engines & transmissions:
    90-day limited warranty

  • Performance engines (including turbocharged, supercharged, VTEC, VVL, MIVEC, and similar):
    30-day limited warranty

The warranty period begins on the delivery date.

🚨 Rotary engines are not covered under warranty.


2. What This Warranty Covers

This limited warranty covers internal mechanical failure only, including:

  • Cracked engine block or cylinder head

  • Rod knock

  • Internal component failure

Covered internal components may include:

  • Pistons, rings, crankshaft, bearings

  • Connecting rods

  • Camshaft and valvetrain components

  • Timing gears or chains

  • Oil pump

Normal wear consistent with engine age and mileage is not considered a defect.


3. Installation Requirements

  • Engines and transmissions must be installed by a licensed professional

  • Installation must follow manufacturer service specifications

  • Engines must be installed within the warranty period

Failure to meet these requirements will void the warranty.


4. Items NOT Covered

This warranty does not cover:

  • External components and accessories (alternator, sensors, manifolds, turbochargers, etc.)

  • Seals, gaskets, oil leaks, or sensors

  • Labor, towing, diagnostics, or rental expenses

  • Overheating damage or improper maintenance

  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, modification, or racing

  • Electrical components

  • Smog or emissions compliance

  • Normal wear and tear


5. Transmission Warranty

  • Automatic transmissions are covered only against slipping

  • Manufacturer-recommended OEM fluids must be used

  • Incorrect fluids or improper installation voids warranty


6. Timing Belt Requirement

For timing belt–driven engines:

  • A new timing belt and related components must be installed during installation

  • Improper timing installation voids the warranty


7. Warranty Claims Process

If a covered defect is suspected:

  1. Contact sales@jdmelitemotors.com within the warranty period

  2. Provide order number and detailed issue description

  3. The product must be returned for inspection with prior authorization

All returned items must be in the same condition as originally delivered.


8. Resolution

If a defect is confirmed:

  • We may repair or replace the item, or

  • Issue a refund if replacement is unavailable

Shipping costs are non-refundable.


9. Warranty Limitations

  • This warranty is non-transferable

  • Repairs or replacements do not extend the warranty period

  • JDM Elite Motors is not responsible for installation or labor costs
